Board Members & Manager

Our dedicated team use their unique skills and passion to move the work of our Non-Profit Organization forward. We are striving to not only combat the spiraling effects of poverty, but to assist our clients out of the poverty. Meet some of our incredible leaders below.
Bobbie Dalquist
Bobbie has a strong background in both volunteerism and keeping financial books for small not-for-profit organizations. She is a native of the Copper Country and was employed in Financial Services at Michigan Technological University, before retiring in 2019. Now that she is retired, she is sharing her time and talents with CCAM.
Kassy Kallio
Kassandra “Kassy” Kallio works at Copper Shores Community Health Foundation as a Community Support Specialist, Peer Recovery Coach, and Victim Advocate. She works directly with some of the most vulnerable members of the community, providing direct, compassionate support to people in crisis. Through both her professional and volunteer work, she has a grounded understanding of community needs, crisis response, and cross-agency collaboration.
Deb Siira
Deb married in 1979 and lived in Madison Heights, Michigan for 30 years. She has three children, 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a rescue dog. Deb enjoys crocheting, knitting, and sewing, as well as gardening and preserving her garden bounty. She worked as a medical transcriptionist, then as a home health aide and in a skilled nursing setting before retiring. She has been a volunteer for Little Brother’s Friends of the Elderly since moving to Hancock in 2005. Deb started volunteering approximately three years ago with Copper Country Angel Mission and has enjoyed every aspect of her duties for Angel Mission.
Lisa Nelson
Lisa retired from full time work and is grateful to offer her expertise to CCAM as grant writer. She is a relatively recent resident to Copper Country, having moved here with her husband in 2013. She is a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and enjoys spending time outside in such a beautiful area.
Sherry Middlemis-Brown
Sherry moved to the U.P. in 1978, but her employment in environmental management and education took her around the country. In 1994, Sherry and her husband built a home as a family project with their two children on the shore of Lake Superior. In 2010, they moved back to the U.P. Sherry has always been involved in community volunteer work and has just continued that habit with CCAM.
Anita Quinn
Anita retired from an administrative career at Michigan Tech in 2019. She continues to contribute to the wider community by volunteering at the Copper Country Angel Mission and Salvation Army. After treatment for two cancers, Anita helped to establish the local Women Living with Cancer Support Group. She is also a Member of the Community Advisory Council for the UP-Health System Portage and enjoys singing with students and the community in the Michigan Tech Concert Choir.
